The White face

GOAL

🎯 What to do:

  1. Find a corner piece with white on it and hold the cube so that that piece is in the bottom
  2. Identify the two other colors which aren't white.
  3. Find an edge piece which is in the top layer that contains the same color as the colors on the white piece on the bottom.
  4. Rotate the top layer til the piece that contains one of the same colors is on top of the bottom piece
  5. Identify if the piece goes in the left or in the right ex: if the piece I have in the bottom is blue, red and white, white is at the bottom, blue is on the left, red is on the right. The piece I identified is blue and orange, because only the blue matches and not the red, the piece with orange and blue goes to the left.
  6. Put the piece on top of the position its supposed to go into by rotating the top layer either left or right.
  7. Rotate the entire cube with your hand (don't move any of the layers) so that the piece which was just moved is in the top right corner
  8. Use the algorithm, R, U, R', U' until the piece is in the place its supposed to be with the white color facing the bottom.

🎯 First algorithm:

Repeat until corner is oriented correctly downwards

White pieces should form a white face at thet bottom with the firrst layer also completed.

Correct top layer Corners

In this picture, the red blue corner piece is in the right place (just oriented wrongly), so are the other edge pieces on the top.

GOAL

🎯 What to do:

  1. In this step, you are going to look at the top layer of your cube.
  2. Put one of the corner pieces which are at the top on top of the corner piece that has the same 2 other colors than white and yellow (like the example picture).
  3. Now you have just matched your first corner.
  4. Take a look at the other corners now and identify how many corners are matched.
  5. If only one corner piece matches or no corner piece matches, you are going to do one algorithm with the (if 1 corner is matched) matched piece on the left top corner facing you. This is the alg: R, U', L', U, R', U', L
  6. If you don't have one corner matched but instead have two, turn the cube until only one corner matches and do the step above. (just match the corner that isn't matched for this)
  7. If all pieces match, this step has been completed!.

Each corner piece in the top layer must be in the correct places, just not oriented correctly.

Solve the Cube

🎯 What to do:

  1. In this step, you first flip the cube upside down
  2. Then look in the bottom right corner, if the corner which is there is not oriented correctly (yellow facing downwards), use the algorith R U R' U' over and over until it is oriented correctly.
  3. After doing this, you will have one corner oriented correctly, after this, move the bottom layer of the cube (of the way you are holding it right now) towards the right until you reach the next unoriented corner
  4. Once you have gotten to the next unoriented corner, do the algorithm R,U,R',U' in repeat until the corner orients correctly
  5. If you do all the previous steps correctly and orient all the corners correctly, the cube will solve!
