Behind the 8 Ball

Start in the Basic closed position with the pivots facing upwards Make sure the safe handle is on the right so that it will be easy to start the trick on the safe handle. Make sure to lift your second finger over the front of the trainer. Flick the bite handle and the blade to the right so that it hits the front of your third finger curld around the handle Then lower your second finger so that it is on the insde of the safe handle and vulnerable to the trainer blade Flick the bite handle and the blade back towards your second finger Right before the trainer blade hits your finger, let go and let the knife spin around your second finger for one rotation Then grabe the safe handle with your thumb and your second finger and transfer over to your thumb Let the knife rotate around your thumb for one rotation, then catch the knife the same way Then flip your wrist over so its the non blade side of the pivots which is facing your thumb, do a zen flip from this position flick the knife so that it ends up in an open position
Great trick for combos
2

Half Orbit

Hold the trainer with the pivots up and the entire thing closed Then drop the opposite handle and hold it in a position where you are grabbing one handle and the other one is hanging downwards with the blade in the middle Flick the opposite handle back up at your thumb. Let go and let the handle spin around your handle Grab that handle when it comes around on the other side Flick the original handle back into an open icepick position
Great trick to learn before learning the short stop.

Cherry Picker

Do a zen rollover instead of flicking back into an open position, continue the movement of a helix instead of doing the helix on the second finger and the thumb, do it on the middle and the second.

Short Stop

Do a half orbit Instead of ending it to an icepick position, grab the handle with the third and the fourth finger. (go to video for further specification) Use the fourth and third finger to fling the other handle up at your hand and move your thumb to catch the balisong
this trick takes a lot of practice
